Needles vs. pain: new study aims to keep black women on lifesaving breast cancer meds

Summary

This study tests whether in-person acupuncture or virtual acupressure can prevent the joint pain that often causes Black women to stop taking their breast cancer hormone therapy. About 150 Non-Hispanic Black postmenopausal women with early-stage breast cancer will be enrolled. The goal is to help them stay on treatment and improve their quality of life.
