Blood test may predict who gets pain relief
NCT ID NCT07495566
First seen Apr 17, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study looked at 264 people with chronic back and leg pain to see if routine blood test results could predict who would benefit from a combined pain treatment (pulsed radiofrequency and steroid injection). Researchers analyzed markers of inflammation in the blood and compared them to pain scores before and after treatment. The goal is to help doctors personalize pain management by identifying which patients are most likely to respond well.
