Researchers seek better way to know when Brain-Injured patients can breathe on their own

NCT ID NCT06542107

Summary

This study aims to understand when patients with acute brain injuries can safely stop using breathing machines (ventilators). Researchers will observe 406 adult patients on ventilators to identify factors that predict successful weaning. The goal is to create better guidelines to help doctors decide when to remove breathing tubes, reducing failed attempts that require new procedures.
