NCT ID NCT06120881

First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study is testing whether a higher-than-normal dose of metformin (1350 mg twice a day) is acceptable and feasible for young people aged 10-21 with type 2 diabetes. Researchers will compare this higher dose to the standard dose (1000 mg twice a day) and monitor blood sugar control. The goal is to see if a higher dose can be used safely and effectively in this age group.
