First seen Jun 26, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 26, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether a personalized program of exercise, nutrition advice, and mental support before surgery can improve recovery and quality of life in people with bone or soft-tissue sarcoma of the arm or leg. About 53 participants will be followed for two years after surgery. The main goal is to see if more patients achieve good limb function 24 months after surgery.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only โ€” not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
Surgical prehabilitation program (exercise, nutrition, and psychological support)
What this could lead to
If it works, this program could help people with limb sarcoma recover better and faster after surgery, with less disability and better quality of life.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-phase study with only 53 people, so results may not apply to everyone. The program is extra work for patients and may not improve outcomes more than standard care.
