Summary
This study tests whether placing a special sponge with suction at the surgical site right after colorectal cancer surgery can prevent dangerous leaks from the new connection. About 110 adults having planned colorectal cancer surgery will be randomly assigned to get this extra treatment or standard care. The main goal is to see if fewer leaks happen within 30 days after surgery.
