NCT ID NCT04298034

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study tests whether giving blood pressure medication to women with preeclampsia after childbirth reduces their risk of being readmitted to the hospital. About 300 women who had preeclampsia during pregnancy will either receive the medicine or standard care. The goal is to see if treatment leads to fewer severe blood pressure readings and less need for extra doctor visits.
