Can a simple score predict bowel recovery after surgery?
NCT ID NCT06018961
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at a common problem after bowel surgery called postoperative ileus, where the bowel temporarily stops working. The researchers want to test a scoring system called IFEED to see if it can better define this condition and predict how long patients stay in the hospital. About 161 people having colorectal surgery will take part, and the goal is to improve how doctors monitor recovery.
