First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looked at whether using sonic irrigation or a diode laser during root canal treatment reduces pain afterward. Eighty adults with infected single-rooted teeth were randomly assigned to one of four cleaning methods. Patients reported their pain levels and painkiller use over a week. The results showed no significant difference in pain or medication use between any of the methods.
