Summary
This study aims to collect detailed medical information and samples from 1000 patients with portal hypertension, a condition of high blood pressure in the liver. The goal is to build a large database to help researchers understand why some patients experience dangerous bleeding from swollen veins (varices) and other complications. By analyzing this data, scientists hope to find better ways to predict risks and improve future care for this condition.
