Could placental tissue help men recover sexual function after prostate surgery?

NCT ID NCT05366842

Summary

This study tested whether applying a special preserved placental tissue over nerves during prostate cancer surgery helps men regain erectile function and urinary control faster. Men with good pre-surgery sexual function were randomly assigned to receive the tissue or standard care and reported their recovery over a year. The trial was terminated early after enrolling only 3 participants.
