First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study looks at whether doing Pilates and resistance training can reduce pain, improve daily function, and help people with long-term low back pain sleep better. About 110 adults with chronic low back pain and poor sleep will be split into three groups: one doing Pilates plus resistance training, one doing Pilates alone, and one getting only advice. The exercise groups will train three times a week for eight weeks, and researchers will check their pain, disability, and sleep quality right after and again eight weeks later.
