Thumb arthritis sufferers: new study tests simple pain fixes

Summary

This study looks at three ways to ease pain from thumb arthritis: steroid injections, saltwater (placebo) injections, and hand therapy exercises. About 354 adults with thumb joint inflammation and pain will take part. The goal is to see which approach works best for reducing pain during daily activities.
