First seen Mar 14, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study looked at 76 adults with leg pain caused by a slipped disc. All received a steroid injection in the spine. Half also got 10 sessions of physical therapy (heat, ultrasound, TENS). The goal was to see if adding physical therapy improved pain, movement, and mood more than the injection alone. Results were measured right after treatment and at 1 and 3 months.
