First seen Feb 04, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study tests if a special light treatment, called photobiomodulation, can reduce the severity and frequency of painful mouth sores caused by radiation therapy in oral cancer patients. About 30 adults who have had surgery for oral cancer and are scheduled for radiation will receive the light treatment five times a week during their radiation course. The goal is to see if this approach improves their quality of life and reduces mouth pain.
