Phone calls for pain relief: study tests remote arthritis coaching

NCT ID NCT05289544

Summary

This study tested whether a 6-week walking program delivered over the phone could help people with arthritis manage their symptoms. Researchers enrolled 267 adults with various forms of arthritis and randomly assigned them to start the program immediately or after a year. The program involved twice-weekly phone calls with a trained coach to guide walking and self-management techniques, with effects measured over one year.
