NCT ID NCT04554121
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tested whether personalizing cognitive training based on a person's early auditory processing ability improves thinking and daily function in schizophrenia. 194 adults with schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder were assigned to either a tailored program (Brain Basics) or standard cognitive training (Brain Training). The goal was to see if matching the exercises to each person's auditory strengths and weaknesses leads to better outcomes in verbal learning and functional capacity.
