First seen May 01, 2026 · Last updated Jun 22, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study looks at how the severity of gum disease (periodontitis) impacts people's daily lives. Researchers examined 300 adults aged 18 to 65, measuring gum health through clinical exams and using two short questionnaires (OHIP-14 and OShip-14) to capture how oral health affects physical, psychological, and social well-being. No treatments were given; the goal is simply to better understand the connection between gum disease severity and quality of life.
