Summary
This pilot study tests whether using a pelvic wand for perineal massage in late pregnancy and during labor can help women feel more in control and reduce pelvic injuries. Researchers will enroll 140 pregnant women at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Participants will either use the wand or receive standard care, and their sense of agency during labor will be compared.
