New study aims to find best scan for Kids' tumors

NCT ID NCT03458520

First seen Nov 18, 2025

Summary

This study compares whole-body MRI, PET/MR, and PET/CT scans to see which is best at finding tumors in children and young adults with solid tumors, lymphoma, or osteosarcoma. Researchers will check how many tumors each scan detects and measure their metabolic activity. The goal is to improve diagnosis while possibly reducing radiation exposure from scans.
