New drug cocktail aims to outsmart Hard-to-Treat lymphoma
NCT ID NCT05507541
First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This phase 2 trial tests a combination of two drugs—TTI-622 and pembrolizumab (Keytruda)—in about 10 adults with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma that has come back or not responded to treatment. TTI-622 blocks a protein called CD47 that cancer cells use to hide from the immune system, while pembrolizumab helps immune cells attack the cancer. The study aims to find the safest dose and see if the combination can shrink tumors.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
TTI-622 (maplirpacept) and pembrolizumab (Keytruda)
What this could lead to
If successful, this combination could offer a new treatment option for patients with hard-to-treat lymphoma that has returned or not responded to prior therapy.
What could go wrong
This is a very small early-phase trial (10 participants) focused on safety and dosing, so it is too soon to know if it will work. The combination may cause significant side effects or fail to shrink tumors.
