NCT ID NCT06002789
First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This phase 2 trial tests a PD-1 monoclonal antibody (immunotherapy) alone or combined with chemotherapy (mFOLFOX6) before surgery in people with multiple colorectal cancers. The goal is to shrink tumors and increase the chance of complete removal while preserving organs. The study enrolls 17 participants with specific genetic markers (dMMR/MSI-H).
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
PD-1 monoclonal antibody (immunotherapy) and mFOLFOX6 chemotherapy
What this could lead to
If successful, this could offer a personalized treatment approach for people with multiple colorectal cancers, potentially reducing the need for extensive surgery and preserving more healthy tissue.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-phase study with only 17 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. Immunotherapy and chemotherapy can cause serious side effects, and the treatment may not work for all tumor types.
