New study aims to ease knee pain for soldiers with smarter PT

Summary

This study looks at whether following specific clinical guidelines for treating patellofemoral pain (a common knee problem) works better than usual physical therapy. About 440 active-duty military members will take part. Researchers will compare knee function, pain levels, and confidence in doing duty tasks over 12 months.
