Summary
This study tested whether adding a device that applies pressure to specific points on the feet (automated mechanical peripheral stimulation, or AMPS) to a regular exercise program could improve heart health and movement in people with Parkinson's disease. Forty participants were split into two groups: one received real AMPS plus exercise, the other a fake (sham) device plus exercise. Researchers measured physical function, aerobic capacity, quality of life, and motor symptoms over 12 weeks.
