First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study will use PET-MRI brain scans to compare the reward system in 44 Parkinson's patients, half with and half without a sleep behavior disorder called RBD. The goal is to understand why some patients develop impulse control problems, like gambling or compulsive eating, as a side effect of their medication. Results may help doctors personalize treatment to reduce these risks.
