NCT ID NCT07353463
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study is following 700 people with Parkinson's disease or multiple system atrophy in Shanghai. Researchers will collect medical history, brain scans, blood samples, and other data every six months. The goal is to find early signs of these diseases and better predict how they will progress, which could lead to earlier diagnosis and personalized treatments.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
What this could lead to
If successful, this study could help doctors diagnose Parkinson's and MSA earlier and more accurately, and guide development of new treatments.
What could go wrong
This is an observational study, not a treatment trial. It will not directly test any new drug or therapy, so benefits for patients are long-term and uncertain.
