NCT ID NCT07010783

First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looks at how Parkinson's disease impacts breathing, muscle strength, and physical fitness. Researchers will compare 100 people aged 50-80 with Parkinson's to healthy volunteers. Participants will do breathing tests, fitness assessments, and disease severity evaluations. The goal is to better understand these connections, not to test a new treatment.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

What this could lead to

If successful, this study could help doctors better understand how Parkinson's affects breathing and fitness, potentially guiding future therapies.

What could go wrong

This is an observational study, not a treatment trial. It will not directly improve symptoms, and results may not apply to all Parkinson's patients.
