Summary
This early-phase study tests a surgery that removes the entire pancreas and then transplants the patient's own insulin-making cells into the liver. The goal is to treat chronic pancreatitis and benign tumors while reducing the risk of diabetes. The study includes 12 adults with adequate islet function and will check for safety and whether the procedure prevents cancer spread.
