Summary

This study aims to find better ways for doctors to talk with seriously ill patients about their end-of-life care preferences. It will test different communication strategies with 5,000 Duke Health patients who have conditions like cancer, heart failure, COPD, or dementia. The goal is to help ensure patients receive care that aligns with their personal values and wishes.
