First seen Feb 14, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study looked at 21 preterm infants to see if a skin sensor could measure pain during a procedure called LISA, which helps babies breathe. The sensor was compared to a standard pain scale used by nurses. The goal is to better understand which babies need pain medicine, so treatment can be personalized in the future.
