New nerve block cocktail could slash Post-Surgery painkiller use
NCT ID NCT07606781
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether combining two types of nerve blocks (superior hypogastric plexus block and transversus abdominis plane block) can better control pain after abdominal hysterectomy. About 44 adults undergoing this surgery will receive either the combo block or standard care. The goal is to see if the combo delays the need for morphine and reduces total morphine use.
