Nerve blocks may slash pain after robotic colon cancer surgery

NCT ID NCT07624916

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether combining two ultrasound-guided nerve blocks (transversus abdominis plane block and rectus sheath block) can better control pain and speed recovery after robotic colon cancer surgery. About 90 adults having their first robotic colectomy will receive the blocks plus standard enhanced recovery care. Researchers will measure pain levels, opioid use, and how quickly patients get back on their feet.
