First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study tests whether a long-acting painkiller (bupivacaine liposome) given as a nerve block can improve pain control and recovery after lung surgery. About 496 adults having a lung lobe removed will be randomly assigned to receive either the long-acting painkiller plus a standard one, or the standard one alone. The goal is to see if the combination reduces pain and helps patients feel better sooner after surgery.
