First seen Apr 09, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study compares two types of nerve blocks for pain after hip replacement surgery. Sixty adults will receive either a sacral erector spinae plane block (S-ESP) or a fascia iliaca compartment block (FICB) for 48 hours after surgery. The goal is to see which method provides better pain relief, reduces the need for opioid painkillers, and helps patients get moving sooner.
