First seen Apr 09, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study compares two ways to manage pain after hip replacement surgery: a sacral erector spinae plane block (S-ESP) and a fascia iliaca compartment block (FICB). Sixty adults having hip replacement will receive one of these nerve blocks to see which provides better pain relief and helps them move sooner. The goal is to find a method that reduces pain and the need for strong painkillers.
