First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study tested different ways to manage pain after keyhole gallbladder removal in 160 adults. Some patients received a nerve block (TAP block), local anesthetic, both, or no extra pain relief. The TAP block group reported less pain and fewer wound problems in the first 24 hours after surgery, showing it is a safe and effective option.
