First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated Jun 05, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study aims to understand why some people develop nerve pain after a spinal cord injury. Researchers will use pain tests, nerve recordings, and body responses like heart rate and pupil size to measure how pain signals work. The study includes 300 adults with spinal cord injuries, some with and without nerve pain, as well as people with other nerve conditions. The goal is to learn more about the causes of this pain, not to test a new treatment.
