First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study compares two pain management approaches after total knee or hip replacement: a combination of tramadol and oxycodone versus oxycodone alone. The goal is to see if the combination reduces the total amount of opioids needed and improves pain control with fewer side effects. About 560 adults having their first joint replacement will participate.
