First seen Jan 19, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study tests two different nerve-block techniques to manage pain after single-level lumbar disc surgery. About 70 adults aged 18–70 will receive one of the two blocks before surgery, and researchers will measure how much opioid pain medicine they need afterward. The goal is to find which block provides better pain relief and reduces the need for strong painkillers.
