Summary

This study compared two ultrasound-guided nerve blocks—transversalis fascia plane block and erector spinae plane block—for pain relief after inguinal hernia repair. Forty-three men undergoing open hernia surgery received one of the two blocks before the procedure. The goal was to see which block better reduces postoperative pain, measured using a standard pain scale.
