NCT ID NCT07366138
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study compares two types of ultrasound-guided nerve blocks to control pain after laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (weight-loss surgery). About 70 adults aged 18-65 with a BMI between 30-50 will receive either an external oblique intercostal plane block or a subcostal transversus abdominis plane block. The goal is to see which method reduces the need for morphine and provides longer-lasting pain relief.
