First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study looked at why some people have ongoing pain after a specific type of heart surgery for irregular heartbeat (hybrid ablation). Researchers surveyed 43 patients who had the surgery at UZ Brussels to see how many had pain three months later and what factors—like painkillers used during surgery—might be linked to chronic pain. The goal was to better understand and possibly prevent long-term pain after this procedure.
