Speeding up the heart: new hope for a tough form of heart failure?

NCT ID NCT07470047

Summary

This study is testing if using a special pacemaker set to a faster-than-normal heart rate can help people with right heart failure and a severely leaky tricuspid valve. It will enroll 24 patients who have a slow resting heart rate and need a pacemaker. Researchers will implant the device and then increase the pacing speed to see if it improves symptoms, physical ability, and quality of life over six months.
