First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study watches 500 people with dual-chamber pacemakers to see how the pacemaker's programming affects their risk of developing permanent atrial fibrillation (an irregular heartbeat). Researchers will track heart rhythm data, hospital visits, and quality of life over time. No new treatments are tested—the goal is to learn which settings work best.
