First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tests whether using a special heart monitor (pulmonary artery catheter) early in people with cardiogenic shock from heart failure can lower the risk of dying in the hospital. About 400 adults aged 18-90 with severe heart failure and shock will be enrolled. The monitor helps doctors measure heart function closely to guide treatment, compared to usual care without early monitoring.
