Divers' danger: new study probes Oxygen's hidden risks

Summary

This study looks at what makes scuba divers more likely to suffer from oxygen toxicity, which can cause seizures. Researchers will test how breathing muscle training, lack of sleep, common medications, and carbon dioxide affect risk. About 62 healthy adults aged 18-45 will exercise in dry and underwater conditions to measure changes in breathing, blood flow, and gene activity.
