Could less oxygen be better? new study challenges routine practice after surgery

Summary
This study compares giving 30% oxygen versus the usual 100% oxygen before removing the breathing tube after abdominal surgery. The goal is to see if a lower oxygen level reduces the chance of low oxygen after extubation. About 590 adults having abdominal surgery will take part.
