Summary

This trial tests whether changing how oxygen is delivered during painless gastroscopy can reduce the risk of hypoxemia (low blood oxygen). Patients at high risk for hypoxia—such as those with heart or lung disease, older age, obesity, or sleep apnea—will receive oxygen through the mouth instead of the nose after the endoscope is inserted.
