Summary

This study tests whether avoiding opioids during breast cancer surgery can reduce pain and side effects afterward. About 200 adults having a lumpectomy or mastectomy will be randomly assigned to receive either opioid-free or standard anesthesia. Researchers will measure pain levels, opioid use, and recovery for up to 6 months after surgery.
