New online tool aims to ease emotional burden for women fighting lung cancer

Summary

This study tests an online program designed to improve social well-being and emotional support for women with non-small cell lung cancer. About 70 women currently receiving treatment will use mindfulness and compassion techniques to help manage distress. The goal is to see if the program is helpful and enjoyable, and whether it can reduce symptoms of depression.
