Weekly insulin shot could replace daily pokes for diabetes

Summary
This study tested a new insulin called icodec that is injected just once a week, compared to the standard daily insulin glargine, in 429 adults with type 2 diabetes. Participants received either the weekly or daily insulin for 6 months. The goal was to see if the weekly shot controls blood sugar as well as the daily one, and to check for side effects.
